HAPPY 50TH MERDEKA DAY TO ALL MALAYSIAN !!!

I brought Marcus to my parents house yesterday.   He enjoyed playing with the national flag that my father given to him. May be he knew that today is a National Day. Hehehe, I just guess only. But he will raise up his hands when we says “MERDEKA, MERDEKA, MERDEKA”. This action really surprising me, he gives me enjoyment after watching him.

I didn’t went out for count down, as hubby was not around with me last night. He’s busy entertained his friends. Back home almost 1.30am. What I did on that time before Merdeka? Blogging and chit chatted with my friends through MSN while Marcus slept sweetly on his bed

We went to Jusco to buy some groceries last night. I think it is more than 3 weeks that Marcus didn’t go for shopping at Jusco. He was so excited when hubby and I let him sat in the trolley. At first, he sat quietly and looked around. But not more than 15 minutes, he started to climb up and yelling….opppsss, everyone looked at us !!!

I didn’t bother him and shop for what I want. Hubby seemed can’t “tahan” him, and let him tried the ”Kit Kat” chocolate. He smiled and kept quietly. No more yelling, screaming, crying.  I seldom give him eat snacks, but hubby spoilt him with the “Kit Kat” last night. I kept on ngam ngam cham cham but hubby said ”Nevermind lah, once in a while mah”…..Geeee….make me “shaked my head”

I would like to share my ideas or tips about the ways to make baby smarter. I gathered all these information from books, and magazines. I did all these ideas with my son too. So, you can try it if you think it is work. Do drop me a comment what you think.

Make eye contact. It is very important that we have eyes contach with our baby especially when your newborn’s eyes are open, and look right into them. Infants recognize faces early on and we, parents is the most important! Each time he stares at you, he’s actually building his memory.

Breast-feed. Yeah, I did breast fed my son for about 6 months. It’s a fact that school kids who were breast-fed as infants have higher IQs. Plus, nursing is a great time to bond with your infant by singing or talking.

Sing a song. I do this every time when Marcus goes to sleep in Mandarin and English version. Learn as many tunes as you can, or make up your own verses (”This is the way I change your diaper, change your diaper, change your diaper . . . “). Some research suggests that learning the rhythms of music is linked to learning math.

Go shopping. Haha…this is what I like to do. When you need a break from your song and dance, visit the supermarket. The faces, sounds, and colors there provide perfect baby entertainment.

Read books. Again and again! Scientists have found that babies as young as 8 months can learn to recognize the sequence of words in a story when it’s read 2 or 3 times in a row, this is believed to help them learn language. I teach Marcus read chinese story books, and flash cards in English, he likes it much. He knows about 20 english words now….

I’m worry and may not go for cosmetic surgery as I scare of pain and a fail surgery is scary me too. Just look at MJ face then you know it that simply adjust your feature without thinking much will cause side effect. YES, hubby and I came back from Bali trip last night. We missed Marcus very much !!! We did called back from Bali last two days and got to know that my parents helped my MIL to take care of Marcus. I was surprised that my mother can take care my son alone without anyone helps. Good !!! I have two helpers now to take care my son when I’m busy.

My mother told me that Marcus was very good boy and not crying or yelling, what to say, he is easy to take care and hopefully it will remain the same always. I hve bought Marcus some nice Bali shirts as a reward for him. It’s hardly to find toys in Bali. So, I have bought him a depensar toy from M&M.

I’m busy today, washing and cleaning my clothes, stuffs and do housekeeping. Besides that, I need to take care of Marcus as my MIL went out to visit her mother who staying in hospital now. Busy and tired, but my hands itchy and want to update my blogs !!!

I just like to see his mouth, he uses to play with his mouth in different ways. Standing beside me and disturb while I’m blogging this morning….so, I have to set my MSN as “AWAY”, need to entertain this little “boss”.

Pneumococcal diease is an infection caused by the bacterium called Streptococcus pneumoniae, also known as pneumococcus. It occurs most commonly in children, particularly those under 2 years of age. This is what I worried about lately. Actually I knew about this vaccination early this year from my son’s paed. Hubby’s uncles and aunties came back from KL as to visit their parents last week. They seldom come back to Ipoh as they are very busy with their work.  Normally we can get together once in a year, during Chinese New Year. Since they all came back, hubby suggested to have dinner as to get together at our home last Sunday before they go back to KL.

They were 10 people including children, and yet our dining table can’t fit all, so children were separated to have their dinner in living room. I suppose to bring Marcus for his 18 months old vaccination 3 weeks ago. Since mummy was not around with him for 2 weeks and daddy also very busy with his work. Thus, we took him for his vaccination this morning. As usual, he will cry before entering doc’s room.

It’s been almost 3 months that I didn’t come to ISH, and the clinic moved to new building. I thought he won’t know that he will be given an injection later, as this is his first time come to this new clinic. He was so clever and he knew that he will get pain on his butt. Oh, poor little boy !!! Crying non stop once we stepped into the clinic…..  

Doctor and nurse felt shocked as he was so strong that need 3 people to hold him, hubby, my MIL and I. I asked doctor if it is too late or any problem with him as he’s now walking few steps without holding anything. Doctor replied, not worry, see, he’s so clever that he knew he will be given injection and cried first even though this is his first time came here…… 

Within a couple of minutes, he then smile again happily eating his favourite snack - Raisins …..

My sister is 6 months pregnant now, she always tell me that it is not easy to have a baby. Now she knows that having a baby needs lots of money. I was shocked when my father told me that his and my brother shoes were stolen by thieves last week. Hubby brought Marcus to my parents house this afternoon, he just stayed for 3 hours then went back home. Since I can cuddle and kiss him, why I still have to wait for tomorrow then I can go home? No different !!! I then packed all my stuffs and went home after dinner.

It’s nice to be home after 2 weeks !!! I have many things that need to be cleaned and arranged, but I just left it aside first…..I just want to be with my son only. I’m glad that he still want me even though I didn’t see him for 2 weeks…..as my father said, you are always his mother, sure he wants you !!!

Hubby and I applied another new Savings accounts few months ago. Actually I can go back to my home after dinner, but my parents insist me to stay one more night with them and back home on Sunday. What’s the different ??? Anyway, stay one more night at my parents home, is fine !!! The most important thing is that I can KISS my son tomorrow. LOL!!!

I thought to buy the similar one from Fisher Price if I really can’t find it. I don’t want to buy branded toys as Marcus always spoil his toys not more than a month. I have bought him few toys from Fisher Price, but now all spoilt by him. This new shape sorting case only costs RM14.90, not expensive even he really spoil it within a month, still fine. Hopefully not so fast ! This toy is suitable for 2 years +, but I’m too eager to teach him as soon as possible.

Another new toy for Marcus - Beach tools. I never think to buy this toy set until we went to Teluk Batik last month. Marcus likes to go beach very much and our next trip is to go to Penang Beach….LOL!!!

I like to play dolls with my sister when I was young. I still remember that my mother always scold us when we play for the dolls. Do you know why? It is because we haven’t finish our homework and played right after back from school.

I personally like fashion and beauty, of coz there are many people also like experimenting with fashion. Even though I’m a mother now, but I do like to play cartoon dolls with my kid. He won’t keep quite for the first half an hour, playing, climbing, standing in his playpen while I’m lying on my bed singing nursery rhymes. Once I know he’s tired, I will keep on singing this song “Twinkle twinkle little star” in english and mandarin version. He likes listen to this song, he then lying on his playpen playing his hands and legs while listen to the song May be because I always sing this song while I’m pregnant, that’s why he likes this song much than others.

It’s almost 10 days that he didn’t hear mummy singing song to him. I miss and hope that I can sing it to you as soon as possible. But I’m sure daddy did sang the song to you even though daddy’s voice not attractive like mummy one

I can’t go out for shopping lately due to my health condition. Everyone who konws me that I’m a shopperholic, even though I can’t go out, but I prefer to shop for my stuff online as it’s more convenient. There’s no traffic jam driving to the shopping mall and no need to queue up to pay if I shop online.

Hubby took my camera for me just now, and I was so excited to “see” my lovely son. He looked so happy and cute…..isn’t he the most adorable little boy ???

Aikkksss, how come daddy took this photo ??? He just wake up from bed, see this little boy, still look blur ….. hehe

Ohhh, he still want to sleep again !!! But need some exercise first !!!!

Hubby and I planning for a trip to Australia end of this year. Whenever I tell my friends about Australia, they will suggest me visit to Melbourne, Sydney and Gold Coast. But I personally like to go Brisbane, as it is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Queensland, as well as the third largest city in Australia.

   

I think my son will know how to walk by end of this year, so I decided to bring him along with us. I should plan well in our itinerary as we don’t want to miss out any nice places like Moretan Bay, Sunshine Hinterland and many others. I’m sure my son will be more excited than us.

Since we don’t have any relatives or friends staying in Brisbane, thus I need to look for Brisbane accommodation. I would prefer to stay in the city as to enjoy for the site seeing and the flea markets which is a great place to shop for some loca arts and crafts.

Aiyo, I miss my son very much and I need my hubby to take some nice photos for me. So that I can have a look and post it in my blog. I think I will receive this “gift” by tomorrow, hopefully my hubby is free and pass it to me as soon as possible.

Talking about photos now and remind me that I still have many photos yet to be developed. I have 3 large photo albums, all about Marcus. It’s really a good memories to snap and keep all those photos.  I’m thinking to bring him to photo studio to snap some creative and cute photos, but wait until he can walk first

I’m glad to hear from my hubby that his brother is setting up his own business and he will become a boss in this few weeks. He is having financial problem for the past few months. Luckily, he has some saving to sustain for his wife and daughter’s expenses, but they don’t have any luxury lifestyle as before. Furthermore, he hasn’t started paying his mortgages, the new house that he bought last year.

Even though he is aware about remortgages , but what my hubby’s brother worries that he still have to pay for other installments. I think it is better if he get a mortgage insurance to secure his future, just in case anything bad happen to his business. We can’t predict things to be happened but we can plan for it. Of coz I do hope this will not happen to him. 

My son gave me another shock again when my mother told me that he’s fought towards his grandmother, my MIL two days ago……huh??? You should wonder why this little boy so fierce nowadays.

I knew that my son suddenly turns to be pampered and plays tantrums a lot lately. He used to show his temper by holding his hands tigh and slap his head when he gets angry. My friend told me that it’s normal to let him express his feeling. Haha, is it normal ????

My boy knows that his grandmother “sayang” him a lot, so if he can’t get anything he wants, he will cry, yell and scream. Then, my MIL will fulfil him. But he fought his grandmother because he didn’t get what he wants. Ohhh, if I were there, I’m sure will scold him lah. How come he acts like that? I know he doesn’t scare of me, my PIL or my parents. He knows that we’re “sayang” him a lot. But he scares his father….. this is what I’m feel better, at least he scares his father, if not, sure I get old more faster.
