Shopping weekend

Tuesday 2 February 2010 @ 5:47 pm

Hubby supposed to meet his friend, an insurance agent to upgrade his life insurance policy. Hubby cancelled the appointment as he wanted to bring us go KL earlier so that I have enough time to shop. LOL!!!  After dilly dally, we reached KL at noon.

Checked into hotel, which is so near to Pavilion shopping centre.

Swimming pool and Pavilion view from the hotel room

Just about three minutes walking distance to Pavilion shopping mall.

The CNY decoration. I didn’t snap much photos of it as I busy to shop after we had lunch at Pavilion.

Marcus and daddy.

I can’t shop much that day as my kid wanted to go back hotel and swimming. After changed, Marcus can’t wait to jump into the pool, but too bad, no baby pool for him. Hubby has to carry him and pretend to swim. :P

At night, we had Korean food for dinner. I love it so much. My friend recommended me to this restuarant. It was raining cat and dog when we wanted to go back hotel. We were exhausted and knocked off early.

The next morning, we had late breakfast at Pavilion’s food court. I tell you, I want to order all the food I saw, too many choices. Hubby laughed at me as I ordered Korean food again. LOL!!! Next, shopping time for us. We met up with my brother and sister in law, they also came here for shopping. We’re so crazy to shop as we got some great discounts vouchers like Guess, Jaspal, Dome, and etc from Pavilion.

We thought to back home earlier to have dinner with my parents, but we had dinner at Pavilion before we started our journey back to Ipoh. I had a great shopping weekend in KL even I just shopped at the same shopping mall only.

Arabian night party

Monday 25 January 2010 @ 11:10 am

I had a great weekend with my friends in KL. This was the first time I attended such a grand seminar and party at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre. Even though it was a tiring trip but I enjoyed myself a lot. I left Marcus to hubby to take care of him. I am glad that he didn’t cry for me for the last two days.

At night, we needed to dress up in Arabian costumes, but my friend and I didn’t wear it. It was last minute planning, so we hardly find any nice costumes, somemore we don’t want to waste money just to rent or buy it.

Deng, deng, deng, deng, my friend and I wore simple clothes but we still look pretty, right? Hehehe……

I saw many women and men dressed up nicely in Arabian costumes at the party. They really keep their body fit. Thanks to Herbalife. Some of my new friends told me they do always visit to weightlossdietarysupplement.org for more knowledge too.

p/s : more pics in Facebook soon……do check it out.

School holidays is coming soon

Tuesday 3 November 2009 @ 10:43 am

School holidays is two weeks away.  I decided to let Marcus to join for his school holiday programme.  Some might think why not let the little child rest and enjoy during this long school holiday at home. For me, it’s good to send him to school to learn and play instead of just sitting in front of TV every hour. Afterall, it’s just half day.

Where to bring Marcus go during this coming school holidays? Hubby is thinking that we could stay a night at Hard Rock Hotel, Penang. No overseas trip until next year as we need to save more for our coming new house. So no stay at any hotels in orlando at the meantime, think have to wait hubby to retire first. LOL!!!

Actually hubby wants to celebrate my birthday, which is in November, so he planned to go Penang. Somemore his kid likes beach. My friends also decided to join us too when they knew it. It’s more fun to go in a group too, especially with kids.

A trip to Penang

Wednesday 16 September 2009 @ 5:00 pm

The weekend took us to Penang again, a day trip for shopping and hunting good food.  It’s our first outing family trip after ‘quaratine’ at home for many weeks just because kiasi of H1N1. LOL!!!  Too bad that I totally forgot to take the most important thing, camera. Argh! May be I’m too excited for the trip. :P

Marcus always asks me to buy him music things. He got to know about the name of some musical instructments just because of the book below. I hardly get them here even at toy wholesaler shop.

We went to Lorong Selamat to have our lunch. We had not been there for quite some time. Miss the hawker food very much all the time. Yes, we left there with full tummy. All food are absolutely delicious.  And then, of course, we went to Gurney Plaza for a bit of shopping. Finally, I found a set of musical instructment at Toys’R'us for Marcus.

Lovely toys, drum, maracas, trumpet, cymbals, tambourine

We left Gurney Plaza near 5pm and we proceed to Queensbay Mall for another great shopping. On the way there, Marcus felt asleep in the car. When we reached the mall, my parents asked better to let him sleep for a while. Hubby and I didn’t bother and carried him out from the car. He woke up and we’re glad that he didn’t play tantrums at all as I promised him to bring him for kiddie rides.

It’s time for dinner. I planned to go Bukit Tambun but my parents wanted to dine in the mall, so we went to Dragon-I. They wanted their grandson to have a good sleep in the car after dinner. They didn’t want us to wake him up again. LOL!!! Hubby promised to bring me to Bukit Tambun coming days. I wonder if he needs some fat burners to standby.

First trip to Sungai Petani

Tuesday 2 June 2009 @ 6:12 pm

It was our first trip to Sungai Petani last Sunday. We went there in a car with my childhood friend and her family. Never ever thought that this place is so small that I will bore to die if I were to stay here. It was about 2 hours drive from Ipoh. We stopped at my friend’s grandmother house for a rest before visit to my another childhood friend.

This swing caught the kids’ attention. Even though it’s so hot outside, they don’t bother but keep swinging for fun. The main purpose we went there was to visit our friend’s newly open shop.

Marcus keeps running around with SL, my friend’s kid once we reached the shop. Gosh, they even “help” to rearrange those small plastic containers there. We’re extremely hot in the shop, so you can imagine how’s the kids look like that time with their red cheeks. LOL!!!

Next, we headed to Queensbay Mall for our late lunch.

This is Marcus most favourite ride…..

Hardly snap a nice photo with the kids, I think this is the best…. :P

Why daddy looks so unhappy? He is very hungry….

After enjoyed our good food at Dragon-I, we shopped around. Marcus can’t wait anymore as he wants to go for kiddie rides. This time we’re not go in Toy’R'us. I know my kid sure will grab his favourite toy cars. He really has a lot at home. If he is not with me, I definitely will get him a kitchen toy set and some mini toy copper kitchen sinks. He likes to play masak-masak.  He likes to “make” fruit juices for me just like what I did for me almost every day.

I was so surprised that he’s not tired at all throughout the day. But he slept at last in the car after we took our dinner at Bukit Tambun. :)

Our weekend in KL

Monday 4 May 2009 @ 3:13 pm

The weekend took us to KL again. At first, I thought to cancel the trip as Marcus is still having slight fever, cough and flu, but he wanted to go badly. WHY? No, not interested in shopping, but dinosaurs.  Actually my father in law not allowed us to bring Marcus goes travel. But hubby insisted to go after seeing his son waited for him so long at home. Anyway, it’s not a big problem. We, of course brought along his medicine too.

Waiting his daddy comes back from work and bring him to KL….

After checked in the hotel and rest a while, we headed to the Backyard Monsters & Dinosaurs exhibition at Mid Valley.

Can’t wait to go in…..

Once Marcus saw those giant dinosaurs, he refused to get down and wanted to carry. LOL!!! May be his own dinosaurs in his mind are full of colours. He has a set of colourful dinosaurs puzzle. Anyway, he is not feeling well that time. There are not much dinosaurs and bugs in the hall, and we can finish our visit in less than 30 minutes.

Stegosaurus

Carpenter ant

Bug’s eye view - what you see through may be different from what a bug sees.

It’s quite boring actually but hubby and I did learnt something there. As for Marcus, he was interested on the bug’s eye view ONLY! He said that he can see many mummies out there. LOL!!!

The next day, we took Marcus to One Utama shopping mall after checked out. He had a great time on the rides.

Next, Toys’R'Us is a must go place. Again, Marcus chose his favourite toy - TRAIN this time. We also met this cartoon man.

Argh, these machine toy balls are introduced by my friend’s son. Hubby decided get Marcus a mini thomas train for him.

We met another giant cartoon on the way to car park. We supposed go Ikea with our friends but Marcus started to throw tantrum, very sleepy and having bad running nose, we decided to go back Ipoh. You can noticed that daddy carried Marcus most of the time during the trip. It’s better than taking weight loss pills. LOL!!!

Hong Kong - Day 4 & 5

Thursday 2 April 2009 @ 2:12 pm

@@@ 25 March 2009 @@@

We had our late breakfast at Tao Heung Dim Sum restaurant, Tsim Sha Shui which recommended by our hotel receptionist. Supposed there was a bus fetched us to Disneyland at 9.30am, but hubby decided to walk around again before go to Disneyland. So, we left our luggage bags to the driver and asked him to help us passed to the Disneyland Hollywood hotel. Yes, we stayed there for a night and got a second day free to Disneyland.

With his pillow and bolsters on the way to Disneyland in MRT

Our room for five of us

Then, we took MRT to Disneyland. After checked into the hotel, it’s about 2.30pm. After rest a while in the room, we began our journey in Disneyland.  We walked past Main Street, USA. We took photos with some Disney characters before we headed to Fantasyland for rides.

With Goofy….

With Mickey and Minnie…

Marcus likes Mickey Mouse more than Goofy

Marcus really excited with the ride

Marcus likes to ride on this Cinderella Carrousel. We went several rounds on it. We’re lucky as the queues weren’t long for most of the rides though it’s not a peak season.

Marcus wanted mummy to snap photos for him :-D

We had some snacks while waiting for the fireworks which in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. It’s so cool and windy but no raining that night.

We had dinner in the hotel. On the way back to our room, I decided to let Marcus to have fun in a kids’ playroom. There’re many children and parents, luckily I can find a nice place for my boy.

Playing kitchen sets and colouring….

There’re two boys who are in their aged 6 grabbed Marcus’s toys while he is playing. He didn’t cry but keep playing his other kitchen sets. Again, the boys took his toys. Gosh, this time he can’t control himself and cried. I told him we have to share toys with others. My mother in law took some colour pencils and a Mickey’s colouring paper for him. He stopped crying then. Guess what, the boys’ mother was around us but yet to scold or teach her kids. After few minutes, we asked Marcus to leave the room.

@@@ 26 March 2009 @@@

Second day in Disneyland

We had our late breakfast in a chinese restaurant at Adventureland. After the breakfast, we went on Jungle River Cruise for a ride. Marcus didn’t like to go on this ride as they are some shocking scenes appeared.

We then proceed to Tomorrowland. Hubby brought Marcus went for a car ride. The queue was long and they waited for more than 20 minutes.

After we had our late lunch, we back to Main Street, USA as to catch the parade. The parade starts at 3.30pm. After that, we shopped at Disney shop. Marcus so excited when he sees those toy cars, trains. In the end, we got him a Disney train and a box of toy cars.

It’s a small world

Last, we went on a sail to enjoy scenes with mini costumed dolls and Disney characters singing the classic tune in Fantasyland again. We missed this on the first day in Disneyland as we rushed to catch for the train ride. It’s almost 5.30pm. We back to hotel and waited for the driver to transfer us to the airport. We arrived in LCCT at 12.15am.  That’s all for our 5 days 4 nights trip in Hong Kong.

More pics HERE…..

Hong Kong - Day 3

Monday 30 March 2009 @ 5:55 pm

@@@ 24 March 2009 @@@

Mummy, I want the soft drink…..Please get it for me from daddy

All of us woke up late at 9.30am after the tiring day tour.  After having breakfast in Mcdonald near the Tsim Sha Tsui pier, it’s about 15 minutes walk from our hotel, we took the Star Ferry ride over to the Wan Chai ferry pier, HK Island. Actually I purposely planned for Marcus as he likes to ride on ferry.

We’re going to stop at Wan Chai Pier

View of HK Island

We then walked again to Times Square shopping mall at Causeway Bay. It’s great to walk around than taking MRT or taxi since the weather is so nice that day with temperature about 20 degrees.

My mother and mother in law enjoyed coffee in the mall while I’m walking around. I really can’t shop there as all are branded stuffs with shocking price. Besides that, Marcus pulled me back to have a cup of coffee. He didn’t want his daddy’s pocket on fire. LOL!!! But at last, I got myself a new design of purse from Esprit. :-P

As for our lunch, I brought them to have wanton noodle. I read a review from a blog that said about this Wanton noodle restaurant at Causeway Bay. It’s called Mak Kee’s at Jardine Bazaar road. The wanton noodle is different from what we eat in Malaysia. Just see the wantoon with big prawn. Oh, yummy!

Then, we went to Tsim Sha Shui by MRT and back to hotel for a rest. After dilly dally, we headed to Avenue of Stars again. It’s also 15 minutes walk from our hotel, which is near Tsim Sha Shui pier. We can’t watch the Symphony of Lights show on the first day, so I decided to go there on the second day. Luckily no raining that night. The Hong Kong skyline at night is so beautiful.

After the show, Marcus decided want me to snap some photos for him. He was so excited and happy even he does not have enough sleep.

I like this photo much…..

Marcus with po po and mah mah

After that, we went for our dinner at New World Centre shopping mall, which is near to the Avenue of Stars. We shopped around for some snacks then back to hotel. That’s all for our third day in Hk. Stay tune for more updates about HK Disneyland. :-)

More pics HERE…..

Hong Kong - Day 1 & 2

Friday 27 March 2009 @ 11:23 pm

Yes, we’re back from our Hong Kong trip yesterday. Marcus is so happy and he keeps telling me that he wants to go again especially to Disnelyland.  Well, the weather in Hong Kong is just so nice with the temperature around 20 degrees.

@@@ 22 March 2009 @@@

We got on a flight and arrived in Hong Kong at 8pm. We’re glad that we can arrived at HK International airport 15 minutes earlier as schedule. This was the second time Marcus taking the airplane. He was so excited when the airplane taking off as he knows that he will be in Hong Kong soon.

We thought to take our dinner in the airport, but our one day tour guide in a rush to transfer us to Kimberley hotel at Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It tooks 45 minutes drive from the airport. After we checked in, we took our dinner nearby the hotel. Of course we walked around after dinner as most of the shops close late. That’s all for our first day in Hong Kong.

@@@ 23 March 2009 @@@

We started our half day tour at 8am. It’s so early, right? That’s why I like free & easy trip. We had our breakfast at one of the dim sum restaurants at Tsim Sha Shui. The dim sum was disapointing. Then, we visited the Golden Bauhinia Square, situated outside of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Bauhinia is actually a type of flower, and this is also the city flower for Hong Kong.

With my mother and mother in law.

Marcus and mummy

Next, we went to the Repulse Bay. The bay was also called Tsin Shui Wan or Shallow Water Bay. I was told by the tour guide that it is the best feng shui place in Hong Kong. The beach is clean and the environment is so relaxing. I think that is why many HK entertainment celebrities like to stay there.

Nice beach with relaxing environment

Besides the beach, there is a temple with a Giant buddha. Of course it’s not the Giant Buddha in Tung Chung. Leaving Repulse Bay, we headed over to Aberdeen, home of Hong Kong’s famous floating restaurants and the floating fishing village.

Can you see the Jumbo floating restaurant? This restaurant is huge and beautiful at night when it’s all lit up, but the food isn’t spectacular and very expensive too.

Hubby insisted to take the optional tour which brought us to Ladies market, The Avenue of Stars, The Peak, entrance fees for Madame Tussauds after the half day tour. It costs HKD370 for an adult and HKD290 for a kid including a dinner.

It was about 5pm when we reached Ladies market. Marcus is extremely tired and he just sleep in the stroller. My mother and mother in law felt tired too and they take care of Marcus while hubby and I walked around to crave some famous local snacks.

Taking nap

 Ladies market

The weather was pretty cold and windy at The Avenue of Stars. We spent only half an hour before we go to one of the HK restaurants for dinner. We were unable to watch the Symphony of Lights, as it starts at 8pm.

Faster, we want to get into bus, it’s so cold here….

Jackie Chan’s hands print

After dinner, we headed to Victoria Peak by bus. We went to Madame Tussauds wax museum of course.  My mother was so excited to see all her favourite celebrities in wax. She took many photos with them.

Photo with Jackie Chan ??? No, it’s a wax model at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum :-P

Bee Yong Joon - Korea famous artist. Someone asked me to hug him and snap photo like that…don’t jeolous, dear, it’s just a wax model. LOL!!!

Daddy wants to fight with Bruce Lee ??? Nah, don’t play play….

We were unlucky that day as the sky was not clear to see the Hong Kong night view from the peak. Back to hotel at 10.30pm. We were extremely tired for the whole day trip.

Business trip to KL

Tuesday 2 December 2008 @ 5:25 pm

I want to bring Marcus to go swimming, but the weather is bad, it’s raining almost every day. I was thinking to go later, again it’s raining heavily, somemore hubby is on his business trip to KL. It’s been quite some time that we didn’t enjoy in the pool. Gosh, I won’t bring Marcus to go swimming alone as I can’t handle him when he is playing in the pool. So, must get a strong person with him like hubby.

Actually hubby asked me to follow him to outstation to get more knowledge on industrial parts, small components like bearings. Yes, he is planning to involve in this field too. My hubby really a superman. I didn’t follow him as my boy sure looks and cries for me if he can’t see me for more than 30 minutes unless I bring him along.

I can always check through websites. I still think it is not a good time to invest in anything nowadays due to the economy slow down.

Bento Fun #8 : Travel to Penang

Thursday 30 October 2008 @ 11:32 am

I have to pack my luggage again once we’re back from Bangkok last week. We went to Penang with my parents, my uncle and his family on Sunday. They have to attend a wedding dinner at Hai Lee Restaurant on 59th floor of Komtar Tower. We have no other choices but to stay in Cititel Hotel as most of the hotels are fully booked. Well, it’s a last minute booking for us. LOL!!!

Since we ate outside food most of the time in Bangkok, so I decided to prepare noodles as breakfast at home before we start our journey. Besides that, I also prepare a snack bento for Marcus. Actually I thought of post a bento which prepared by shoppingmum for my kid in Bangkok, but I changed my mind as the bento was not prepared by me.

Here is a bento for my kid to enjoy on the way to Penang. LOL!!!

New lunch box and bag at Daiso, Bangkok

Fried egg bread in bear shape, organic corn and cherry tomatoes, quail eggs, some kiwi and pear

This is what he likes to do when taking photos nowadays

After checked in the hotel, we took our lunch before back to hotel again for rest. Hubby and I brought my uncle’s kids to Gurney Plaza at night while they having wedding dinner. Nothing much to shop around as I have bought many stuffs in Bangkok. Somemore the stuffs here very expensive compare to Bangkok.

Baskin Robins ice cream, yummy!

This trip is more for food hunting than shopping. We have lot of outside food lately, so I better eat more at home. Since I bought many bento stuffs for my boy, so it’s time for me to show off !!! Wait for my updates, okie ?

I missed those shoppig days in Bangkok. All the clothes are so cheap there and the material is acceptable. I didn’t get any Classic UGGs boots as I don’t know where I should wear it to.  May be I will get a pair when I go for holiday in four season country next time.

Our Bangkok trip : Part II

Wednesday 29 October 2008 @ 11:55 am

Again, my friends didn’t join us on the third day. It’s fine as they have to work. After breakfast we headed to one of the temple in Ayutthaya. It’s a sunny day again and all of us sweating non stop. LOL!!! We went there for praying and donation, that is why Marcus felt a bit bored. But Mummy in vain’s hubby like the temple much.

Photo of The King & The Queen

Marcus no mood to take photo, the weather is so hot !!!

Fish feeding

Luckily we found a place where Marcus got back his mood, fish feeding. He was so concentrated to feed the fishes with bread. Anyway, he said goodbye to the fish before he leaves and didn’t do any grumpy face. :-D

Elephant rides

We told the driver to bring us for elephant rides. Since we didn’t know Thai language, so I just showed him an elephant photo which I took at Safari World. LOL!!! He understood and brought us for the ride. The elephant ride is 200 bahts per adult and free for kids.

Grand Pearl Cruise

In the cruise

At night, my friends brought us to go for a night cruise on Chao Phraya River for dinner which we have planned. We were trapped in a bad traffic. We got lost and my friends asked for the help from Thai people. Anyway, we managed to board on time.

Dining hall

Enjoy night views while having dinner

It’s more suitable for couples instead of family. But it’s good to have such experince once. The dinner is simple, but the night view on Chao Phraya River is awesome. I didn’t snap nice photos because I’m not using those professional camera. LOL!!! More photos at my travel’s blog.

My kid enjoyed much even he is very sleepy that time. He jumped and run here and there. We went on the upper deck after dinner for night view. If we make reservation early, we might enjoy our dinner on it while seeing the night view.
